Terms and Conditions

GENERAL BOOKING INFORMATION

1. JUMP N JOY CASTLES supply a range of inflatables and soft play equipment listed on our products page. These items are usually booked out for parties, celebrations (baby showers, religious celebrations) and many more events indoors or outdoors, subject to weather. We deliver in Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas as requested by our client or customer (The Hirer) for a pre-arranged price at the client’s home or a suitable venue.

2. All bookings are to be made via our website. A Non-refundable £40.00 deposit is taken for all bookings, which will secure your booking. The booking fee is non-returnable should you cancel the party at any time. We understand that sometimes plans change and, where possible, will transfer your booking to an alternative date. More information on the booking fee is below.

3. Our privacy policy can be found at the following link:

BOOKING FEE

1. When booking via our website, you will be asked to pay a £40.00 deposit to secure your booking. On the day of delivery, we ask for the remaining balance to be paid. Please ensure payment is ready upon delivery. If the balance isn’t paid on delivery, we cannot set up the equipment, and you will lose your deposit.

2. Your deposit is a non-refundable booking fee, covering our administrative costs when reserving your date, assets/equipment. Please see below for more information on circumstances where this may be refunded

3. JUMP N JOY CASTLES cannot hold any dates for assets/equipment without a deposit.

SETUP TIMES

1. A staff member from JUMP N JOY CASTLES will personally assess the location. If the booking is in a hall, they will ensure that all fire escapes and access and exit doors are not blocked. Once they have deemed the location “suitable,” a single Bouncy Castle should take approximately—30/45 minutes to set up, subject to access.

2. JUMP N JOY CASTLES will not be liable for any refund, in part or whole, where ‘we’ are late accessing the venue and setting up purely because of earlier events over-running or where ‘we’ are prevented from accessing, setting up or providing our professional services by the venue management. Neither will JUMP N JOY CASTLES be obligated to extend the agreed timescale on a pro-rata basis in these circumstances.

3. Should we be provided less setup time or unable to gain access to the venue due to circumstances beyond our control, we also reserve the right to offer an alternative setup than booked or a minimal setup for us to start at the booked time.

4. Due to other potential bookings on the day, the agreed party start and finish times must be adhered to. Should you, on the day, request JUMP N JOY CASTLES to start later or remain longer, this is at the discretion of JUMP N JOY CASTLES.

5. JUMP N JOY CASTLES will contact you the evening before your party/event or party supplies order as a courtesy to ensure that we still have the correct details. You are, however, free to contact us at any time.

PARKING

1. It is the responsibility of the client/customer to provide JUMP N JOY CASTLES with a parking space close to the venue and, where required, cover the cost of parking. JUMP N JOY CASTLES will need one parking space suitable for a transit van. You will be requested to provide parking information when booking. This must be provided when booking your party if you are aware of any parking restrictions, such as residents’ parking, pay and display, or time limits. Should parking not be available near your venue or delivery address, we must know this when booking. In these circumstances, we will require additional time to unload/load the equipment for the party/event.

2. JUMP N JOY CASTLES will aim to arrive at your venue at least 10 minutes before the start of the booking.

– Do not smoke near the bouncy castle/inflatable/generator or blower.
– If the bouncy castle/inflatable is damaged due to negligence or malicious acts, the Hirer will be liable to pay for any repairs required. A PIPA inspection body will carry out any repairs needed.

**IMPORTANT NOTE:** The person who delivers the bouncy castle, inflatable, or hired party equipment will be the same person who will collect the bouncy castle, inflatable, or hired party equipment. JUMP N JOY CASTLES DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO COLLECT THE EQUIPMENT ON OUR BEHALF! You will be fully liable for negligence for new replacements and costs if the equipment is collected by anyone else except JUMP N JOY CASTLES.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These are the Terms and Conditions for the Hire of Bouncy Castles, Inflatables and Hire Equipment, which are based on the standards set out by the Health and Safety Executive and the Local Authority. Please read these carefully. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions. We will also ask you to sign a copy of these terms once we’ve set up the equipment.

The person/s hiring the equipment is responsible for ensuring that all reasonable steps are taken to avoid injury or cause damage to the equipment. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:

1. No adult should use any JUMP N JOY CASTLES equipment. Besides our adult bouncy castle, all other equipment supplied by JUMP N JOY CASTLES is solely for children’s use. The castles are intended for use by persons below the age of 16 YEARS. Please ensure no persons over this age use the equipment. The users’ heights determine the number of users. Our delivery team will give this information to you upon delivery. The number of users and measurements are also detailed on every castle on the side.

2. A RESPONSIBLE ADULT (OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE) MUST BE SUPERVISING THE EQUIPMENT AND CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. No person under the influence of drink or drugs should supervise or operate the equipment. We would also request that the responsible adult, the Hirer (over 18 years of age), be present at the delivery address during delivery and collection.

3. You may be requested to provide two forms of ID with at least one photo and your home address. For example, your driver’s license or passport are two forms of acceptable ID. We reserve the right to refuse hire.

4. Always ensure the equipment is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and height of people using it. We advise avoiding a mix of large and small children. Our delivery team will detail the number of children permitted for each piece of equipment hired.

5. DO NOT allow anyone to bounce on the front step, as children could quickly bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users to get on and off! Always enter and exit the inflatable from the front of the step, not the sides. Any safety mats supplied are to be kept in position, and users must enter and exit the bouncy castle via the matted area (Full adult supervision required!).

6. Ensure that anyone with a history of Heart, Neck or Back Problems, High Blood Pressure, Joint Weakness or any record of known medical disabilities can use the equipment. Also, any person who feels unwell should be removed immediately.

7. Climbing, hanging or sitting on the side walls is DANGEROUS and MUST NOT be allowed.

8. Children should not be pushing, colliding, fighting, attempting somersaults, wrestling, running or behaving in a manner likely to cause injury, damage or distress to others or the equipment.

9. Do not allow anyone to be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation, as this could damage the equipment and injure the user.

10. Where applicable, ensure a safety zone of 6 feet (2 metres – subject to initial safety survey) around the equipment is always kept clear, and anchor points are accessible. Occasionally, check that the inflatable equipment is securely anchored/pegged down.

11. All shoes, glasses, jewellery and badges MUST be removed before using the equipment.

12. No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers, silly string, food, drinks, sweets, chewing gum, pens, water (hosepipes, water pistols, etc.), soapy water (to create foam!), pets, toys, barbecues, smoking, shoes or sharp objects are to be allowed on or near the equipment.
